We’re creating a movement rooted in local action, with global impact
India’s urban spaces are growing — but so is the cloud of pollution above them. In cities like Delhi and across NCR, children grow up breathing air filled with dust, toxins, and smoke. Lungs struggle. Trees vanish. Summers scorch harder, and winters trap the poison in our skies. But this doesn’t have to be our future. At SAHAYA, we believe clean air is a basic right — not a luxury. Through our Net Zero Goal initiative, we are taking small, determined steps toward building an India where the air is breathable, the earth is greener, and sustainability is not a slogan, but a lifestyle.

Why This Matters
The World Health Organization ranks air pollution as one of the greatest environmental risks to health. In India, over 2 million premature deaths every year are linked to poor air quality. Delhi-NCR consistently records hazardous levels of pollution, especially during post-monsoon and winter months. And the ones who suffer the most? Children. The elderly. People in low-income communities.
While systemic solutions are important, community-driven, grassroots action is equally vital. Our goal is to make everyday citizens, schools, and neighborhoods part of the solution — turning bystanders into changemakers. The path to a Net Zero India begins not in conference rooms, but in streets, classrooms, balconies, and backyards.

What We Do Under This Initiative
Through the Net Zero Goal program, SAHAYA undertakes a series of ongoing environmental activities:
Tree Plantation Drives in pollution-prone and low-green-cover areas
Distribution of Anti-Pollution Masks, especially to school children, street vendors, and elderly individuals
Awareness Sessions in schools, colleges, and local communities to teach people about eco-responsibility
Clean Air Campaigns during high-risk months (e.g., Diwali and stubble-burning season)
Promotion of Sustainable Practices like composting, reducing plastic, rainwater harvesting, and energy conservation
Engagement with RWAs (Resident Welfare Associations), encouraging neighborhood green projects
Each action is designed to be replicable, community-led, and impactful — even on a small scale.
Your contribution helps us expand our reach, distribute more resources, and engage more people. Whether it’s funding saplings, sponsoring a school session, or helping us buy eco-kits and masks — every rupee plants the seed of cleaner air.
What We’re Working Toward
Our larger vision is to build community-led micro climate hubs — neighborhoods, schools, and public spaces that become self-sustaining green ecosystems. Each hub will reduce carbon footprint, improve air quality, and inspire eco-behavior. With your help, we can create replicable, scalable models of real environmental change — starting from one street to one city at a time.
